One-stop Service for the Development and Integration of 8-inch Gallium Nitride Optoelectronic Devices
- Features
- ITRI provides integrated development services and, in collaboration with TOPPAN's unique imaging sensing technology, successfully produced an eight-inch blue gallium nitride micro light-emitting diode (μLED).
Description
ITRI offers one-stop integrated services for the development of eight-inch optoelectronic devices, providing highly cost-effective solutions to meet the process development and verification demands of manufacturers. In this project, ITRI collaborated with Japanese company TOPPAN. TOPPAN is one of the few in the industry capable of achieving eight-inch processing, utilizing QD (quantum dot) and low-temperature curing color resists layers to enhance the optical characteristics of micro-LED displays.
Utilizing this one-stop integrated service for the development of eight-inch gallium nitride micro light-emitting diodes (μLEDs), this project successfully produced high-brightness blue micro-LEDs with advantages such as large wafer size, low cost, and IC process compatibility. It is believed that this will greatly support the industrial development and application promotion of optoelectronics.
