Description
ITRI has developed a transparent antenna array prototype operating in the Ku-band Rx (10.7-12.7 GHz) with a 70% transmittance rate. The antenna array offers circular polarization (CP) radiation which can mitigate signal attenuation caused by satellite pointing offsets. The measurement results of the Ku-band Rx (10.7-12.7 GHz) antenna array indicate an axial ratio (AR) below 3 dB and a right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) gain of approximately 18 dBi. Building upon our previous work, this demonstration extends the design to a 8X8 configuration, showcasing the scalability of our approach. The transparent antenna array prototype demonstrates the potential for low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite applications. Future integration with a phase control circuit will enable its use in vehicle sunroofs for mobile broadband satellite services.
